Hi, I’m Sami.
I’m a software engineer with about three years of professional experience building and supporting production backend systems.
Most recently, I worked at TransCore on Java and .NET services for intelligent transportation systems—data ingestion, validation, WebSocket infrastructure, and production debugging across services, databases, and field devices.
Before that, I built test automation at VMware and evaluated code-focused AI systems at Scale AI. I’m also pursuing Georgia Tech’s part-time M.S. in Computer Science, where I have a 4.0 GPA in the Machine Learning specialization.
Open to full-time software engineering, backend, systems, and AI/ML roles.

Experience
2024—2025
Atlanta, GA
Software Engineer · TransCore
Built production Java and .NET services supporting traffic-signal timing, real-time operational data, and correctness-critical validation. Developed an SFTP ingestion pipeline for compressed controller data and optimized an IIS WebSocket proxy, reducing average client-to-service latency from 270 ms to 142 ms.

2023—2024
Contract
Advanced Programmer, AI Training · Scale AI
Evaluated AI-generated code, wrote functional solutions in Python and Java, created adversarial and edge-case tests, and reviewed reinforcement-learning-from-human-feedback tasks with a distributed team.

2020—2023
Atlanta, GA
Software Development Engineer · VMware
Built Appium and Selenium automation in C#, scaled testing across operating systems with Ansible, and expanded unit and integration coverage. The framework reached approximately 95% automated coverage and helped shorten development and QA cycles.

Selected technical work
NLP · PyTorch
Key-value memory network
Built and evaluated a neural question-answering model over structured biographical data, including custom preprocessing, vocabulary design, checkpointing, and error analysis. Reached 82.3% accuracy on an unseen-person test set.
Computer networks
Network protocols and control
Implemented graduate networking projects spanning distributed spanning-tree behavior, routing, software-defined firewall policy, and proxy services.
Production systems
Data correctness at system boundaries
Designed database-backed validation and production diagnostics around asynchronous services, embedded-device constraints, timing-dependent behavior, and real-time operational data.
